A VPS is a virtualized environment within a physical server, providing more flexibility and resources than shared hosting but less than a dedicated server, which is a physical machine dedicated entirely to a single user.
You can install cPanel through the command line on both VPS and dedicated servers. Our tutorials provide step-by-step guidance to help you through the process.
To upgrade your cPanel server, run one of the following commands based on your server's cPanel license:
If your server has a cPanel license from LicenseHosts:
gblicensecp_update
If your server does not have a cPanel license from LicenseHosts:
/scripts/upcp --force
According to the default rules of the GB license, you are allowed to change your IP address only once.
Note: Any additional changes to the IP address require special approval depending on policies with charges.
